Years in practice:

25

Best known for:

I am widely recognized as a real estate and land use attorney with a proven track record of resolving complex title and land use matters.

Why I chose my practice area:

I discovered a natural talent for understanding plans and maps, along with a deep curiosity about the historical aspects of property and title. I am drawn to the puzzle-solving nature of title and land use work and enjoy finding creative solutions. Real estate law appeals to me because it is personal — I work directly with people on matters that have tangible impacts on their property, businesses and communities.

Most memorable case:

Notable matters include a multi-year subdivision project in Boston’s western suburbs, litigation concerning shopping mall design, and fascinating title work involving a wall shared with the State House grounds and properties once owned by Henry Ford and David Ortiz. I have closed on unique properties including one with a World War II bunker and another where a U.S. president spent summers. I have also secured approvals for recreational facilities — pickleball courts, docks, pools, and riding facilities — often navigating significant municipal resistance.

What makes me a leader in my field:

I am recognized for my deep expertise in resolving complex title and land use matters and extensive Land Court and municipal board experience. I find creative solutions to challenging legal and regulatory problems and regularly handle high-stakes transactions. Colleagues and clients rely on my strategic judgment and practical approach. I engage with the legal community through mentorship, professional organizations and speaking engagements.

Outlook for 2026:

Technology, particularly AI, will increasingly influence transactions and due diligence.

Bar involvement/leadership roles:

Active REBA member; previously served on the Condominium Committee. I currently serve on my town’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Within my firm, I chair the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and serve on the Art Committee. I mentor many associates and foster camaraderie through professional and social guidance.
