Years in practice:
21
Best known for:
My practice encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate. I have consciously built relationships with key industry leaders, specifically the commercial real estate brokerage community. I pride myself on responsiveness to clients, fast turnaround times, a practical business approach, keen judgment, ability to solve problems and identify risk, and focus on getting deals done.
Why I chose my practice area:
I was first drawn to the tangible aspect of real estate law. There is nothing more exciting than seeing the fruits of your labor physically manifested in the world as a place where people live, work, and play.
Most memorable case:
Over the past 20+ years, I have led many large real estate transactions across the country. Key projects include: helping a commercial bus company with its major regional expansion through the $55 million acquisition of an 8+ acre industrial site; negotiating a prime downtown Boston office lease for a technology company in a Class A office building; and negotiating a complex ground lease with the City of Boston for a 123,650 sq. ft. commercial development featuring retail, affordable artist housing, studios, a cultural venue and parking.
What makes me a leader in my field:
Many of my clients have been with me for my entire career because I truly understand their businesses and am a partner in their success. I am a practical problem solver focused on getting deals done efficiently. I have deep experience identifying pressure points and finding leverage among diverse stakeholders while working through tough issues without being an obstructionist.
Bar involvement/leadership roles:
I served as chair of the firm’s Real Estate Group from 2021-2023. Since 2021, I have served on the Board of the Commercial Brokers Association, a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. I have also served as an associate member of the Andover Zoning Board of Appeals since 2018.
