Years in practice:
14
Best known for:
I am an experienced transactional attorney and litigator, with a concentration in land use, zoning and complex civil disputes. I have represented landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers, and lenders in numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions. I have also represented individuals, small businesses, lending institutions, insurers, privately held corporations, and large companies before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. I have also acted as in-house associate counsel for a major real estate development and property management company advising senior management on matters involving eminent domain, zoning, commercial disputes, mechanic’s liens, collections, and landlord/tenant matters.
Why I chose my practice area:
It chose me. My first real “law” job coming out of law school was handling real estate closings for a busy Boston law firm. I was lucky in that I ended up really enjoying this practice area.
Most memorable case:
Helping a young couple resolve a dispute with the builder of their new home during COVID. The challenges were numerous, but we persevered through it all to obtain the result that they desired.
What makes me a leader in my field:
I encourage innovation and utilize cutting-edge technology to rejuvenate our practice. I promote continuing education for younger associates and allow them room to grow through hands-on matters and transactions. I’m never too busy to answer a question.
Outlook for 2026:
Continued low inventory in the residential real estate market means competitive offers that could place buyers at risk financially and regarding property quality. Buyers would be wise to engage an experienced real estate attorney to navigate these potential pitfalls.
Bar involvement/leadership roles:
Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, BC Alumni Association, Suffolk Alumni Association
