Years in practice:

19

Best known for:

Taking a practical, solutions-oriented approach to complex commercial real estate transactions. Colleagues and clients rely on me for my ability to see the big picture while keeping deals moving efficiently, even when they involve multiple stakeholders, regulatory hurdles, or novel issues. I am often brought in to untangle complicated diligence, structure joint ventures, resolve title challenges, or find creative paths forward for high-value transactions.

Why I chose my practice area:

Commercial real estate allows me to blend analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving with tangible results. I enjoy the collaborative nature of bringing together sponsors, investors, lenders, regulators, and corporate stakeholders to complete projects that impact communities and the region.

Most memorable case:

Representing sponsors and private equity investors in complex, multi-asset acquisitions and financings across New England; counseling developers on small- and large-scale solar projects to secure site control and align property rights with renewable energy goals; and representing a public agency in ground leasing and redevelopment of valuable public lands and air rights subject to state and federal oversight, requiring coordination with multiple agencies and extensive permitting.

What makes me a leader in my field:

I combine deep technical knowledge with practicality, teamwork and focus on client objectives. I stay calm under pressure, anticipate issues, and offer business-driven solutions. My service on the City of Newton Board of License Commissioners, including as chair since 2022, provides perspective on regulatory frameworks impacting real estate and business operations. Through that role and MCLE speaking engagements, I educate others and advance best practices.

Outlook for 2026:

Continued growth in renewable energy and sustainability-focused development, requiring sophisticated site control strategies and creative structuring. Strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex financing vehicles will remain in demand as investors reposition portfolios. The intersection of land use, licensing and local oversight will be important as municipalities adapt to evolving needs.

Bar involvement/leadership roles:

Co-leader, Women’s Initiative in Boston; co-chair, Boston Real Estate Department, Greenberg Traurig; Newton Board of License Commissioners chair; MCLE panelist, local alcohol licensing programs
